Self-Evaluation.

When consulting with an e2sys energy expert, it is important to understand a few small rules of thumb when looking into a wind turbine for your home or business:

- Wind turbines are the most cost effective when they are placed high enough over any obstructions in order to catch the wind at maximum velocity to produce the greatest amount of energy.

- An ideal location for any wind turbine would be in an open field, on the top of a hill, or along the shoreline. In order to avoid wind velocity being disturbed by trees, buildings and other tall objects, we recommended that all wind turbines be put at a height of 30 feet above any obstruction in a 300-foot radius.

- Small roof turbines are innovative to some, but usually produce negligible power compared to standard horizontal axis turbines mounted in an obstruction free area.
