Renewable Energy Essay Contest
Prizes for the Winner of the Essay Contest include:
- A $1,000 scholarship to further your education in the renewable energy field at Stony Brook University (Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center), Molloy College or Farmingdale State College
- A spot in our E2sys Summer 2010 Internship program
- The honor of "Cutting the Ribbon" at the 100kW wind turbine Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Half Hollows Nursery scheduled for this April of 2010.
Criteria:
The essay is entitled, “Why I want to work in the renewable energy industry?” In your essay, please answer the following questions:
1. What contribution do you think you could make to the industry?
2. What are your goals for the future?
3. If you could create the ideal position for yourself in the renewable energy field, what would it be?
All essays must be typed, double-spaced with size 12 fonts and no more than 2 pages in length. Please email your essay to Claire at marketing@e2sys.com with a subject line as: Essay Contest Submission _ YOUR__NAME__HERE__.
All participants must be a current junior or senior in a Nassau or Suffolk County public school district and also complete the Contest Registration Form to be eligible to participate in the Renewable Energy Essay Contest.
Deadline:
All essays must be submitted on Friday, March 5th 2010. The winner will be announced via our website at www.e2sys.com on Monday, April 5th, 2010.
Important:
Contest winners must fulfill the requirement of attending the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Half Hollows Nursery in April 2010. If a student is unable to attend the ceremony, the prizes of the scholarship as well as the internship opportunity with E2sys will be awarded to the runner-up.
If you submit an essay without completing the Contest Registration Form you will not be considered as an eligible entry in the contest.
