Jamie J. Minnick

President & Founder

Jamie Minnick is the founder and driving force behind E2sys, having a great passion for renewable energy, innovation, engineering and business. The Minnick family has been involved in the renewable energy field since 1978. Jamie has been exposed to renewable energy since he was a young boy, having been brought home to a house that had seven solar collectors, and a neighbor’s home that had a 90-foot wind generator visible from his window.

When Jamie was eight his father Ken Minnick taught him how all these systems worked, and together, they built a homemade solar hot water tank. His father became his mentor and taught Jamie how to construct and rebuild cars, trucks, snowmobiles, motorcycles, and planes. By the time Jamie was fourteen, he and his father had built a homemade experimental aircraft in their garage.

Following his love for aviation, Jamie completed an intensive Aviation Training course ranking at the top of his class at Dowling College NAT Center. He continued in the aviation industry...

...under strict supervision and training to rebuild aircraft engines and airframes for Teledyne Technologies Inc. Jamie often flew in the planes on which he worked and learned that "…things must be done right the first time…in aviation you have no second chances." Jamie's directive of completing renewable energy installations to "aircraft standards" undoubtedly stems from his past aviation mechanics training.

Furthering his education, Jamie went on to obtain an Associate's Degree in Engineering Science from Suffolk Community College and later obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University. While studying for his Masters in Financial Engineering, he ran a marketing and financial consulting company out of a business incubator in Brooklyn NY.

As Jamie was enthusiastic to learn more about the business world, his five uncles became a source of knowledge and leadership for him. They taught him construction, carpentry and how to run a business. One of his uncles, Gary Minnick of Go Solar, taught Jamie the basics of running a solar energy company leading Jamie to establish Eastern Energy Systems Inc. Jamie is now an investor in international properties; proprietary patented technology; local US based businesses, and people!

To Jamie, the objective of Eastern Energy Systems is to provide renewable energy products—solar, wind and geothermal—that are built to aviation standards, while making a positive impact on our economy, our national security, the environment—AND—producing more jobs for our local communities.
